Day-Wise South India Tour Itinerary

Day 1: 2 January – Arrival in Madurai

Arrive at Madurai Airport or Railway Station. Meet and greet, followed by a transfer to the hotel.

Visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple. If time permits, explore Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal and Gandhi Memorial Museum.

Check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 2: 3 January – Madurai to Rameswaram

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving to Rameswaram, approximately 3.5–4 hours depending on traffic.

Enjoy views of the famous Pamban Bridge. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, known for its sacred corridors and pilgrimage significance.

Continue to Agnitheertham and the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial.

Check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Rameswaram.

Day 3: 4 January – Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi

After breakfast, visit Ramanathaswamy Temple for darshan, subject to temple timings.

Visit Agnitheertham and explore the spiritual surroundings of Rameswaram.

Proceed to Dhanushkodi, famous for its coastal scenery, beautiful beaches and historic ruins. Enjoy the scenic views, subject to weather and local access.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: 5 January – Rameswaram to Kanyakumari

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kanyakumari, approximately 6–7 hours depending on traffic.

On arrival, visit Kanyakumari Amman Temple, subject to temple timings. Explore Triveni Sangam and Our Lady of Ransom Church.

Enjoy the beautiful sunset over the coast, weather permitting.

Day 5: 6 January – Kanyakumari to Trivandrum

After breakfast, visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar Statue, subject to ferry operations and weather conditions.

Enjoy the scenic coastal views of Kanyakumari before proceeding to Trivandrum, approximately 2–3 hours away depending on traffic.

An optional visit to Suchindram Thanumalayan Temple may be arranged depending on time and route.

Day 6: 7 January – Trivandrum Sightseeing and Departure
